I love knitting because it allows me to create an infinity of patterns and colour combination that never repeats itself.

It’s like magic. Very much like in the bio of PetsPortraits, I started making Custom Fleece Blankets & Hand-Knit Blankets for kids of friends and then, after seeing how much they were loved and appreciated, I thought it would be the perfect thing for me to do for the children community.

Knitting is one of my creativity expression and, according to Rudolf Steiner, the founder of the Waldorf Schools Methode, “The more we take into account that intellect develops from the movement of the limbs, from dexterity and skills, the better it will be.”

Knitting promotes the brain/eyes connection and connects the right and left brain. I know that this is an intellectual explanation, when my son started knitting at Waldorf was one more thing we did together. I do every kind of craft, I paint, I can tile mosaics, I manipulate photos I take, I am very hands on. Knitting is the craft that gives me the more flexibility and it’s easy to transport!
